Swimwear
Swim-specific fabrics are ideal for this pattern. Look out for lycra with a 4 way stretch for the best fit as these patterns were created with a 2” stretch allowance. However if you’re making your bikini top as a top or your swimsuit as a body to wear under something, don’t be afraid to play with stretch cottons and jerseys for a more (not so beach) look. Just size up incase you need the extra stretch.
The Tillie top could also be used in a cotton, lightweight denim or linen.
kaftan
The Kaftan pattern is most suited to cottons, denim, twills, lace, linen or even jersey fabrics. This really can be made in most fabrics.
Thinking outside the pattern pack:
Don’t forget your Tillie top pattern can be used in a stretch or non stretch fabric for a retro look that can be worn with your favourite 70’s jeans. Or how about making the CiCi skirt to wear with it as a summer must have two piece.
The swimsuit doubles as a great vintage inspired bodysuit for retro lounging and wearing under your Kaftan.

Keep it at its original length, make it floor grazing with side splits or make it shorter for a flared sleeve kaftan top of dreams.
